Charles "Chuck" Finley is an alias frequently used by Sam Axe when he is undercover. It originally belonged to a famous major-league baseball player.
Sam first used the name when he was in Colombia, identifying himself as "Deputy Assistant Intelligence Director Chuck Finley" to a nervous CIA agent over the phone. He had spotted the name on the cover of a sports magazine on the nearby desk of another CIA agent and remembered that he made a lot of money betting on Finley "back in the day" and figured it was a lucky name.
